Description: |
| Provide supervisory assistance for employees assigned to a particular discipline work area. |
Duties: |
1. Supervise craft workers assigned to area of responsibility. Provide liaison between field and crafts to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications.
2. Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, materials quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
3. Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained.
4. Ensure accurate time and material records are maintained and client paperwork is completed as required. This includes work orders, dig safe numbers, permits, change orders, purchase orders, etc.
5. Advise division manager of potential problems, work
interference, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
6. Maintain liaison with other departments and customers as required to support construction schedule. Provide assistance to foreman in resolving problems.
7. Work harmoniously, co-operatively, and courteously with others at all times.
8. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction as required.

Qualifications: |
| Educational and experience requirements include: 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum of 6 years construction experience; minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, jurisdiction, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents, plus ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance is essential. |
